At Urban OT Group, we provide comprehensive home modification assessments and recommendations to support individuals to remain safe, independent, and engaged within their home environment.

Our Occupational Therapists work closely with clients, families, and other stakeholders to identify practical solutions that are tailored to each person's individual needs, abilities, and goals. Recommendations consider the person’s physical, sensory, and functional needs, as well as the layout and features of their home environment.

All recommendations are made with consideration of relevant Australian Standards for Access and Mobility, ensuring solutions are safe, functional, and appropriate for long-term use.

Home modifications may include:

• Handrails and grab rails

• Bathroom modifications, including level-entry showers

• Shower access solutions and handheld shower installation

• Tap modifications (e.g., changing round taps to lever or quarter-turn taps)

• Doorway widening and access improvements

• Installation of residential lifts

• Lighting and environmental modifications

• Kitchen modifications to improve accessibility and wheelchair access
